About Artisan Row

Artisan Row was built for one reason: shopping for handmade and artisan goods online means wading through thousands of listings that use the word "handmade" loosely, marketing language that oversells what a small-batch item can promise, and review sections that are often more noise than signal.

We organize picks by category — handmade jewelry, home decor & ceramics, candles & bath, leather goods & accessories, art & prints, and kids & baby handmade — with honest, plainly written descriptions of what a type of handmade good actually is, who it's genuinely for, and what to check before you buy.

How We Choose These Picks

Every product category on this site is put together using the same short checklist:

• Category relevance first. We start from what's genuinely well-established and commonly sought within a handmade category, not what pays the highest commission.
• Honest claims. We don't fabricate reviews, star ratings, or prices on our own pages — those live on Amazon and change constantly, so we send you there to see the current numbers rather than guess at stale ones here.
• No overselling. We don't describe items as a "one-of-a-kind artisan masterpiece" or similar marketing hype. We say plainly where handmade goods carry real trade-offs — piece-to-piece variation, longer processing times, personalization that isn't returnable — because those are genuinely part of what shopping handmade means.
• We don't verify individual listings. We describe categories of handmade goods and what's generally true of them. We do not authenticate, inspect, or verify who made any specific item you find on Amazon, or whether a specific listing's "handmade" claim is accurate — that's on you to check using the listing's own materials section, photos, and seller description.

Artisan Row is currently a small, independently-run site — there's no in-house appraiser or artisan-verification team behind it. We're upfront about that rather than implying otherwise.

What "Find Your Style" Actually Does (and Doesn't)

The Find Your Style quiz on the homepage asks three simple questions and uses one of them — your biggest focus — to mark two categories as "Recommended for you." It does not verify who made an item, how it was made, or whether any specific listing is genuinely handmade, and it is not an authentication or curation service of any kind. It's a content filter, nothing more, saved only in your browser with no account or backend. Every category stays fully browsable regardless of what you answer.
